Forget Rosetta Stone… This Clever T-Shirt Will Help You Speak In ANY Language

LifeBuzz I Travel

Tourists just need to point to their icons to communicate with locals. George Horn and Florian Nast were travelling across Asia in 2013 when one of their motorbikes broke down. The globetrotters found themselves in a town in Vietnam with, “no infrastructure, zero tourism and just some locals,” says Horn. It didn’t help that neither one spoke the language. The two Swiss knew there had to be an easier way to communicate. Horn and Nast joined forces with Stefan Streit in 2015 designing a line of shirts called Iconspeak with symbols that can be understood just about anywhere in the world. Simple icons like WiFi, drinking water, and currency exchange are just some of the signs that are breaking down communication barriers.

Travellers can choose more than one symbol to "speak."

Don’t drink the water!

Iconspeak also carries caps, bags, and tank tops as part of their line.
